Shannon Marta Paige
Shannon Paige is a native of Baltimore, MD who graduated from Towson Catholic High School as salutatorian. She is a 2009 graduate of Emory University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Sociology. Shannon taught third and fifth grade in the Atlanta Public School system. While teaching, Shannon was recognized as the Carpe Diem Educator of the Year for making the most of each day, as well as the Excellent Educator for immense dedication in the classroom and beyond. Shannon has worked in social service agencies and on Teach For America staff for the past two years.
In May, Shannon graduated from the University of Maryland School of Social Work with a Masters of Social Work degree. Shannon intends to use her degree and experience to impact educational policy and school districts at large. Shannon is currently a Manager of Teacher Leadership and Development with Teach For America-Baltimore. She enjoys traveling, sports, reading and learning about other cultures.
