Dr. Michele L. DozierDirector of OperationsDr. Michele L. Dozier, born in Brooklyn, New York, lived most of her adolescent years in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Dr. Dozier received her Bachelor's in Biology with a minor in Medical Technology at West Chester University, during which she studied one year abroad at The University of the Virgin Islands in St. Thomas. Dr. Dozier attended The University of Maryland Dental School and currently practices in a pediatric office in Takoma Park, Maryland. She has traveled to the Vietnam, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Alaska to provide dental work for under-served populations. She is a member of the National Dental Society, Maryland Association of Pediatric Dentists, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. In January 2005, Dr. Dozier received the Drum Major for Justice Humanitarian Award from her Alma mater West Chester University, which complements the Mayoral "Key" from the City of West Chester as well as numerous honors from the City of Baltimore for her volunteer service. In addition, she continues to serve her community as an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. While receiving her journalism degree from The Broadcasting Institute of Maryland, Dr. Dozier had the pleasure of hosting a radio show and two television shows in the Baltimore area. In addition, she also serves as the Director of Media Relations for the Children's Oral Health Institute. After practicing as a general dentist for six years, Dr. Dozier realized her passion for wanting to provide dental treatment for children. She returned to school to continue her studies at UNLV School of Dental Medicine where she obtained her specialty in pediatric dentistry. |
